Pitsou CHarikleia studied in the field of “Education” at the University of Athens (Greece). She completed postgraduate studies at the University of Patras, specialising in “Intercultural Education: Greek as a Second or Foreign Language”. She then completed a doctoral thesis at the same university on the topic: “UN Policy on Human Rights Education (1995-2009). The application of the “cognitive pyramid” educational model “in Greek teacher and kindergarten teacher education”.
Her research interests are human rights, children’s rights, linguistically and culturally diverse students, practical training of future teachers, applied pedagogy, international organisations, higher education policy and lifelong learning. Teaching activities at universities: University of Patras, Hellenic Open University, University of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPAITE) in Patras. Her books and scientific articles have been published in Greek, English and French.
