The Library of the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work extends in a 72m2 area into the Department’s own building, on the 1st floor and functions as an independent service open to all of the students and the academic staff of Patras University. Core regulations apply for all the services provided.
The Department’s Library material is classified according to the 23rd edition of the Dewey Decimal Classification System through the KOHA program, provided by the Patras University’s Central Library and Information Center. All the Library’s material is open to the academia and to the public as well via the online provided services of OPAC (an open access registry interconnects all the academic Libraries throughout Greece and renders visual and accessible all of their material).
The Department’s Library has over a 12.000 of multi-language book titles and more than 40 series of Greek journals.
The library is open for the public every day from Monday to Friday, 8:30 pm to 14:00 am.
